About Bellyful Christchurch
Bellyful provides up to three nights of meals to whÄnau with babies or children under 12 who are facing challenges such as illness, bereavement, stress, isolation, pregnancy, miscarriage, or baby loss – regardless of financial situation. We help families without a support network. Our meals are generously cooked and delivered by volunteers, who will do their best to be in touch within five working days.
Last year alone, our team of Christchurch volunteers cooked and delivered 2,739 meals to 515 whÄnau.
Bellyful New Zealand
From exhausted new parents to overwhelmed whÄnau, Bellyful is helping lighten the load across Aotearoa. Our latest survey shows the power of a simple meal—91% of families said it gave them a break when they needed it most, and 97% felt supported without judgement. As one parent shared: “You actually kept us afloat in what felt like a sinking situation.”
This year Bellyful is on track to serve over 7,000 families more than 40,000 meals, including stocking neonatal unit freezers across the motu. NgÄ mihi to our amazing volunteers and the generous people backing our mahi. Together, we’re filling freezers, warming hearts, and nourishing communities.
