Frequently Asked Questions
What is Spaghetti September raising funds for?
Funding to support the people, systems and resources that make Bellyful’s mahi possible across Aotearoa, helping us cook and deliver meals to whānau who need practical support at dinnertime.
This includes volunteer training, food safety systems, referral management, logistics, food and packaging supplies, freezer and kitchen hire, mileage for deliveries, volunteer training and leadership development, along with governance, marketing and communications.
These costs are what make our service possible. When these foundations are strong, our volunteers can focus on what they do best, cooking together, supporting one another, and delivering meals to families with care and dignity.
How can I get involved in Spaghetti September?
Lots of ways! You can make a donation, set up a fundraising event or page, or get involved in a spaghetti drive. Check out our list of ideas if you need inspiration.
Why do I get an online fundraising page?
Your online fundraising page is the easiest way to collect donations for Bellyful. It’s super easy to send out a link to your supporters or have it open at your event, and we only need a few details to take the donation. Donations are securely processed and people are immediately emailed a donation receipt, as well as a big thanks from us! The donation will show up on your online fundraising page straight away, and we’ll send you a notification to let you know you’ve received a donation.
Will donors be emailed a receipt?
Yes! If someone donates online, they will be emailed a donation receipt straight away. If they have given you cash at an event, you’ll need to email accounts@bellyful.org.nz to organise a donation receipt for them.
Can people outside of New Zealand donate to my fundraising page?
Yes, we can take donations from anywhere in the world!
