A Sparkling Afternoon with The After-Hours Stylist
We’re delighted to invite you to a truly special afternoon in support of Bellyful Selwyn’s mission to nourish local families.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of Kate Williams — founder of The After-Hours Stylist — we’ll gather for an exclusive high tea in her breathtaking Prebbleton garden on Sunday 1 February, 2–5pm.
Kate opens her gardens to only two charities each year, and we are honoured that Bellyful Selwyn has been chosen. Her haven of ornamental gardens and flower fields provides the perfect setting for a magical afternoon.
About Your Host
Kate Williams, the visionary behind The After-Hours Stylist, has transformed her Prebbleton lifestyle block into a sanctuary of beauty and creativity.
After two decades in the corporate world, Kate now shares her love of flowers, food, and design through immersive gatherings that celebrate the rhythm of the seasons. Giving back is close to Kate’s heart, and we are so grateful she has chosen to support Bellyful Selwyn.

This promises to be an unforgettable afternoon of beauty, music, and connection — all while raising vital funds to help Bellyful Selwyn deliver nourishing meals and aroha to local families who need it most.
Guests are welcome to bring a picnic blanket to enjoy the lawn, although comfortable seating will also be available. The event will go ahead rain or shine.
During the afternoon, Kate will host live floral demonstrations, sharing her styling tips and creative process. These are demonstrations only (not full hands-on workshops).
For those wanting to make the afternoon even more special, an optional $40 add-on is available (with purchase of a $90 ticket). This exclusive experience is limited to 50 guests, who will have the rare opportunity to pick and take home a bucket full of blooms from Kate’s flower fields.

🌷 Bloom Experience Add-On – For an additional $40 (with purchase of a $90 ticket), 50 guests can purchase a Pick-Your-Own Flower Experience and take home a bucket full of blooms from Kate’s flower fields.
About Bellyful Selwyn
Bellyful provides up to three nights of meals to whānau with babies or children under 12 who are facing challenges such as illness, bereavement, stress, isolation, pregnancy, miscarriage, or baby loss – regardless of financial situation. We help families without a support network. Our meals are generously cooked and delivered by volunteers, who will do their best to be in touch within five working days.
Last year alone, our team of Selwyn volunteers cooked and delivered 1,637 meals to 234 whānau

From exhausted new parents to overwhelmed whānau, Bellyful is helping lighten the load across Aotearoa. Our latest survey shows the power of a simple meal—91% of families said it gave them a break when they needed it most, and 97% felt supported without judgement. As one parent shared: “You actually kept us afloat in what felt like a sinking situation.”
This year Bellyful is on track to serve over 7,000 families more than 40,000 meals, including stocking neonatal unit freezers across the motu. Ngā mihi to our amazing volunteers and the generous people backing our mahi. Together, we’re filling freezers, warming hearts, and nourishing communities.
